Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 1/10/24 from 8 am to 9:05 am. The provider had no children in care at the beginning of the inspection. One child arrived for about 10 minutes but then left for a dentist appoint. A second child arrived about 15 minutes before the inspection ended. The provider has a large space for the children with sleep areas and a separate crib room. Lots of supplies for exploration. A violation notice was given to the provider along with this inspection summary. Reviewed 2 caregiver records as well as 4 children's records. Based on observation during the inspection, a child has a medication that is not stored in a locked place.
Evidence: One child in care has an epi pen in his backpack. The provider does not give medication at the home.
Plan of Correction: We will discuss with the parent and let them know we do not give medications at the home and also what is needed for them to store medication here for emergency services.
