Inspector Notes

A /renewal inspection was conducted on February 14,2023. There were 92 children present, with 15 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 child records and 5 staff records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on observation, hazardous substances were not kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.
Evidence
Hazardous cleaning supplies were observed in an unlocked cabinet under the sink in the Whales classroom.
Plan of Correction: Corrected during the inspection. The locking method was repaired.

Based on observation, over the counter products were kept beyond the expiration date of the Evidence
In the Elephant classroom: expired diaper cream 12/22, insect repellent 4/22, sunscreen 7/21 and toothpaste 3/22, 6/22 was observed.

In the Whales classroom: expired diaper cream 10/22 was observed.

In the Turtles classroom: expired toothpaste 11/22 was observed.
Plan of Correction: All expired items were disposed of. We will regularly check to ensure nothing is expired.
