Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was conducted on 3/24/2022. There were 17 children present, ranging in ages with 2 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 2 child records and 2 staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based upon observation, the facility has not ensured that hazardous substances are kept in locked places using safe locking methods that prevent access by children.
Evidence:
There was a container of aerosol disinfecting spray with a hazard warning in a closed file cabinet drawer (second drawer from the floor) that was not locked.
Plan of Correction: The facility responded with the following:
The spray was immediately moved to a locked hanging wall cabinet. All staff will be reminded of required storage of potentially hazardous substances.
