Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on August 12, 2025, as a part of the licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 12:00 PM and ended at 1:05 PM. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 19 children present and 2 staff. The inspector reviewed 4 children?s records and 2 staff records on-site.
This inspection included:

Standard 8VAC20-780-280-B
Hazardous substances such as cleaning materials, insecticides, and pesticides shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.
There were three small containers of air freshener with warning labels in an unlocked cabinet in the unlocked staff bathroom.

The air fresheners will be kept in a locked location.
Standard 8VAC20-780-560-F
When centers choose to provide meals or snacks, a menu listing foods to be served for meals and snacks during the current one-week period shall be dated and posted in a location conspicuous to parents.
The posted menu is dated 8/4/2024 - 8/08/2025.
Plan of Correction: Facility response:
The menu will be flipped to the current week. In the future, the current menu will be posted each Monday.
