Inspector Notes
A renewal inspection was conducted on 12/12/2023 from 3:45 pm to 4:25 pm, and staff records were reviewed on 12/12/2023 earlier in the day. There were 12 children in care ages four years to eight years, in one group under the care of one staff. The Licensing Inspector reviewed five children?s records, one medication and associated records, two staff records, and other program records. The children were observed in quiet activities and doing homework. The LI discussed medication paperwork with the site director, and the need to give it pack to the parent if there was no current authorization to administer it on file.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Violations
2EVIDENCE:
1. The record for child 2 shows this child is four years old (preschool age). The outlets in the cafeteria, where the children were observed during the inspection had one electrical outlet capped. The rest of the outlets in the room were uncapped.
EVIDENCE:
An inhaler of medication 1 was not labeled with a child?s name, the dosage amount, and the time or times to be given. Staff 1 identified the medication as belonging to Child 1, and it was not currently in use.
