Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm. There were 18 children in care being supervised by 4 staff. The children were observed eating lunch and preparing for rest. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of two child records and one staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on observation it was determined that not all hazardous substances were kept locked. Evidence: A spray bottle of bleach and water solution was observed on a food cart placed against the wall between the infant and two year old room.
Plan of Correction: The bleach bottle was locked during the inspection.
Standard 8VAC20-780-40-D
Based on observation it was determined that the current license was not posted in a place conspicuous to the public. Evidence: The expired license is posted and not the current provisional license.
Plan of Correction: The provider will post the current license.
