22.1 Early Childhood Care and Education
During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. If there were any serious injuries or fatalities related to a violation, the details will be included in the description of the violation.
Inspector Notes
An unannounced, on-site focused inspection was initiated and completed on September 23, 2025. The on-site inspection began at 1:00pm and ended at 1:30pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 13 children present and 3 staff. The inspector reviewed one child record and one staff record on-site. This inspection included document review, interviews and observations.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Violations
2The child day program is required to submit to Virginia Department of Health (VDH) and develop and implement a plan to test potable water known to be used for consumption.
The program did not have evidence of a testing plan submitted to VDH.
Thirteen children between the ages of 8 months and 12 years were observed in the Preschool classroom with two staff.
