A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted on May 15, 2024 from 2:00pm to 6:20pm. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI inspection. The two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection. The information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice and discussed during the exit interview.

Based on observation and interview, the center did not ensure that for each group of children, the vendor shall maintain a written hard copy record of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs.
Evidence:
1. The classrooms in the center only had an electronic record of attendance for the groups of children to document arrivals and departures.
2. Staff #1 confirmed that a written hard copy record of attendance as it occurred was not present in the classrooms.

Based on record review, the center did not ensure that all staff who work directly with children shall have within 90 days of the date of employment or 90 days from subsidy vendor approval, current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the ages of children in care and current certification in first aid appropriate to the ages of children in care.
1. The record for Staff #4 (working since 12/6/2023), had an expired cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification, dated April 2024.
2. Staff #1 confirmed that all staff who work directly with children did not have current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
