Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 4/28/22. The provider had 11 children in care with 3 caregivers. A total of 30 points, including the provider own two children. The children were observed playing outside and after playing getting ready for lunch and eating lunch. Lunch was meatball soup, bread and milk. Lots of interaction between the caregivers and children observed. The provider has a set-up full of things to explore and room for lots of play.
A violation notice was given to the provider at the time of the inspection.

Standard 8VAC20-800-180-A
Based on the review of paperwork, the provider failed to get a subsequent TB screening for a household member.
Evidence: Household member 1 is missing a subsequent TB test, last TB test was done 2/20/20
Plan of Correction: I will make sure she gets a new TB screening done.
Standard 8VAC20-800-210-A
The provider and staff failed to take 16 hours of training in the last licensing period.
Evidence: Based on conversation with the provider, the staff did not take any training in the last licensing year.
Plan of Correction: We will make sure we take our 16 hours of training, it was hard with covid going on.
Standard 8VAC20-800-220-A
Based on the review of records, the providers MAT has expired.
Evidence: The providers MAT certificate expired in 2021 and the providers paperwork still states she will administer medication.
Plan of Correction: I will take MAT training again and will inform parents that I will not give any medication until my MAT certificate has been renewed.
