Inspector Notes

A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was completed. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection. The children were observed during lunch time, washing hands, and during nap time. The inspection started at 11:35 am and concluded at 1:25 pm.

Information gathered during the inspection determined violations with applicable standards or law. Violations are identified on the violation notice.

Based on a review of records, the center did not ensure that staff who work directly with children shall annually complete the health and safety update course.
Evidence: The records for two of the five staff contained documentation of the most recent health and safety update course that was dated more than one year ago (Staff #2 - 4/11/2022; Staff #3 - 4/3/2022)
Plan of Correction: We will make sure the staff completes the health & safety training annually.
