Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was initiated on 4/8/2022 and concluded on the same date. There were 35 children present, ranging in ages from 2 year to 5 years, with 10 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. The children were observed cleaning up from playtime, washing hands, and having snack. A total of 5 child records and 5 staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation, children's hands were not washed with soap and running water before eating snack.

Evidence: Children were observed transitioning from clean up time to snack without washing their hands in room 3.
Plan of Correction: Staff were reminded that children must wash hands with soap and running water before eating. Children washed hands immediately after reminder. Center will review hand washing requirements.
