Inspector Notes
A renewal inspection was conducted on 7/20/2023. The inspector arrived at 9:50 AM and departed at 11:30 AM. There were 62 children present with 13 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 child records were reviewed. There were no staff hired since the previous inspection in October 2022.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program and discussed with the program director during the exit interview.
Violations
2Evidence:
1. There was epinephrine stored for emergency administration to child 7. The epinephrine expired in January 2023.
2. Staff 6 acknowledged the expired epinephrine.
The parent was immediately contacted to pick up the medication and bring new medication when it was discovered that the medication had expired.
Evidence:
1. An injury record dated 6/7/2023 for child 6 does not include the signature of two staff or the signature of one staff and the parent. There is only the signature of one staff person.
2. Staff 6 acknowledged that there was only the signature of one staff person.
All written injury records will be reviewed to ensured that they contain all required information.
