Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on 02/13/2025. The inspection began at 10:29 AM and ended at 12:30 PM. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 81 children present and 12 staff. The inspector reviewed 8 children?s records and 8 staff emergency contact records. This inspection included:

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-280-B
Hazardous substances such as cleaning materials shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.
There was a container of aerosol disinfectant on a desk in the fine arts studio.
Plan of Correction: Hazardous substances such as cleaning materials, insecticides, and pesticides shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.
The disinfectant was immediately removed and placed in a locked location. All staff will be reminded of this expectation.
Standard 8VAC20-780-60-A
Each center shall maintain and keep at the center a separate record for each child enrolled which shall contain the employment name and telephone number for each parent.
The record provided for child 1 did not include employment telephone numbers for either parent. The record provided for child 4 did not include the employment telephone number for 1 parent.
Plan of Correction: The facility responded with the following:
The parent of both children was immediately contacted to provide employment telephone numbers. Children's files will be re-checked to ensure employment telephone numbers for parents are entered.
