Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 11:15am-1:10pm. There were 2 enrolled children and 1 resident child (8 points) directly supervised by the provider. The home, 1 staff record, 3 children?s records, 1 household member?s record, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed playing freely, molding putty, practicing their alphabet and eating snack. There was an adequate supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. The home was clean and organized. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation and interview, the family day home that was built before 2015 and that serves preschool-age children was not equipped with at least one carbon monoxide detector.

Evidence:
The home did not have a carbon monoxide detector on site at the time of the inspection.
Plan of Correction: A carbon monoxide detector was purchased on the same day of the visit on 11/15/2023.
