Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today.
All rooms observed were in ratio during the inspection.
Emergency evacuation drills, emergency supplies, first aid supplies, attendance sheets and age appropriate activities were all in compliance today.
4 child records were reviewed. 5 additional records were reviewed for specific items only (allergy action plans). See Violation Notice for non-compliances sited today.
3 staff records were reviewed for previous violations only. No new staff have been hired since the last inspection.
Children were observed painting, doing sorting activities, working on the letter "C", reading and being read to in multiple classrooms.

Based on a review of medications, the center failed to follow its own policy regarding informing parents of an expired medication.
Evidence:
There is an expired medication at the center. (1/23/24) (Child #5)
Plan of Correction: I will ask the parent to bring in a new Auvi-Q.

Based on a review of medications, one medication on site was not in the original box with a prescription label attached.

Evidence:
Records did not contain documentation of an allergy action plan for a diagnosed food allergy. (Children #2, 4)
