During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. If there were any serious injuries or fatalities related to a violation, the details will be included in the description of the violation.

Inspector Notes

An unannounced on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on August 25, 2025. The on-site inspection began at 11:05am and ended at 12:07pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were four children present and one caregiver; the point total was 12. The inspector reviewed four children?s records and three caregiver/household members records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the home, interviews, and observations. The information gathered during the inspection determined determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program

Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the violation will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five business days from today, which will be the close of business on September 2, 2025. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

Standard 8VAC20-800-280
Potentially poisonous substances, materials and supplies such as cleaning agents, disinfectants, and deodorizers shall be stored in areas inaccessible to children. A large bottle of Dawn Platinum detergent was sitting on the bathroom sink, which was accessible to children. The label on the detergent states "Keep Out of Reach of Children".
Plan of Correction: All cleaning agents, detergents, and other hazardous materials will be stored immediately after use in a locked cabinet or placed on shelves out of children's reach.
Standard 8VAC20-800-330-A
A landline telephone, excluding a cordless or cell phone, shall be available, operable, and accessible during the family day home's hours of operation. An operable landline telephone is one that does not require electricity to operate. Cordless or cell phones may be used in addition to the landline telephone. There was no operable landline available during the inspection.
Plan of Correction: A new landline telephone has been ordered and will be delivered by 8/31/25. It will be installed by 9/2/25.
Standard 8VAC20-800-960-E
Bottles shall be refrigerated and labeled with the child's full name and the date, if more than one infant is in care. There were two bottles belonging to child #3 that were not labeled with the child's full name nor dated.
Plan of Correction: All bottles will be labeled with the child's full name & date before being stored in refrigerator.
