Inspector Notes
An unannounced Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted on 8/17/2023 from 12:56 p.m. ? 3:38 p.m. in conjunction with a monitoring inspection (see that inspection report for details) to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. A total of 50 children were present with 6 staff providing care. Children were observed napping, eating snack and free play. Programming, attendance, menus, emergency procedures, four medications and four children?s records and three staff records were reviewed for documentation of the mandatory Virginia Preservice Training, Health & Safety Update training, and current certification in First Aid and CPR. There are children currently enrolled with diagnosed food allergies and their records were reviewed for allergy care plans. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
