During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. If there were any serious injuries or fatalities related to a violation, the details will be included in the description of the violation.
Inspector Notes
An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated on February 18, 2025, and completed on February 18, 2025, as a part of the licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 10:50 am and ended at 1:00 pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were four children present and one caregivers; the point total was eight. The inspector reviewed eleven children?s records and two caregiver/household member(s) records on-site.
This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Standard 8VAC20-800-140-B-3
Providers and substitute providers shall have current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), as appropriate to the age of the children in care, from the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, American Safety and Health Institute, or the National Safety Council, or current CPR certification issued within the past two years by a community college, a hospital, a rescue squad, or a fire department. The record of caregiver #2, identified as a substitute provider, contained documentation of CPR that had expired four months ago. The provider stated caregiver #2 did not have current CPR and had not been along with children in the past four months.
Plan of Correction: Per the provider: I will schedule a class to renew the CPR. He will not be used as a substitute until the class is completed.

Providers and substitute providers shall have current certification in first aid from the American Red Cross, American Heart Association, American Safety and Health Institute, or the National Safety Council, or current first aid certification issued within the past three years by a community college, a hospital, a rescue squad, or a fire department. The record of caregiver #2, identified as a substitute provider, contained documentation of first aid certification that had expired four months ago. The provider stated caregiver #2 did not have current first aid and had not been along with children in the past four months.
