Inspector Notes

An unannounced inspection was initiated on 07/16/2025 and completed on 08/11/2025 in response to a complaint received by the licensing office on 07/16/2025 relating to allegations of Supervision, Special Care Provisions and Programs.This inspection included: document review, tour of the facility, interviews, observations and measurements. The preponderance of evidence gathered during the investigation supports the allegation(s); therefore, the complaint is determined to be valid. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and the violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Children under 10 years of age always shall be within actual sight and sound supervision of staff. On March 25, 2025 a 3 year-old child was left on the playground for approximately 15 minutes without sight or sound supervision.
Plan of Correction: The staff received a write up for this incident and management revisited supervision with staff.
Standard 8VAC20-780-350-B-4
Whenever three year-old children are in care, the required staff-to-children ratio is 1:10.
On August 4th, 5th and 6th Staff #1 was out of ratio with 11 three year-old children in her care for approximately 5 hours.
Plan of Correction: Management is working on a system to ensure all kids are in classes by 9am and checked by 9:15am to ensure every class is in ratio.
