Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted 10/17/2023 between the hours of 1:25pm through 2:05pm. There were a total of 10 children present, ranging in age from 5 months to 2 years (28 points) with the Provider and 2 assistants. A total of 4 children?s files, 3 staff files, and 1 household member?s files were reviewed. The children were napping during the inspection and caregivers were observed soothing those having difficulty falling asleep. A complete inspection of the programming space, children and staff records, emergency drills, menu, attendance, and emergency procedures were completed today. No new staff have been hired since the last inspection. The provider advised there was no medication on site today. There was an abundant supply of age appropriate materials and toys and the home was clean and organized. All caregivers are current in CPR/First Aid certification. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Please complete the columns for "Plan of Correction" and "Date to be Corrected" for each violation cited on the Violation Notice, and then return a signed and dated copy to the licensing office by 5pm on 11/2/2023. Please email me at morgan.bryson@doe.virginia.gov with any questions.
