Inspector Notes

A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was conducted on May 25, 2023enter director. The inspection began at approximately 9:30 AM and concluded at 1:05 PM. There were 45 children present with 9 staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Please complete the ?plan of correction? and ?date to be corrected? for each violation cited on the violation notice and return it to me within 5 business days from today. Please specify how the deficient practice will be or has been corrected. Your plan of correction should contain: 1) steps to correct the noncompliance with the standard(s), 2) measures to prevent the noncompliance from occurring again; and 3) person(s) responsible for implementing each step and/or monitoring any preventive measure(s).

Based on record review, the center failed to ensure that staff have current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the ages of children in care. The training shall include an in-person competency demonstration.
Evidence:
1. Staff #5?s (DOH 1/3/2023) record did not contain documentation of current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
2. The director verified that staff #5 had not completed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training.
