Violations

2
Standard 8VAC20-780-270-A
Based on observation, the facility failed to maintain the areas inside and outside the center in a clean, safe, and operable condition. Evidence:
1. The toilet paper holder in the two year old bathroom was broken and the toilet paper was on the floor.
2. The base molding was loose from the wall in the girls bathroom, exposing crumbled drywall accessible to children.
3. A large tree root was exposed at the base of the slide in the fall zone.
Plan of Correction: Maintenance of the building will be contacted.
Standard 8VAC20-780-320-F
Based on observation, the facility failed to have a stepstool in the restroom designated for preschool children allowing access to the sink. Evidence: the sink in the preschool/school age restrooms is too high for preschool children to reach. There was no stepstool available and staff stated they would lift the children when necessary.
Plan of Correction: One stepstool was moved into the restroom during today's inspection. More will be purchased.
