Inspector Notes

The inspector conducted an unannounced mandated inspection from 10:00 a.m. until 11:55. There were 63 children in care ages infant 5 years of age. Five children's records and five staff records were reviewed. Infants were observed sleeping and playing. Children were observed playing outside, during circle time, washing hands, and being read to. FIve child records and five staff were reviewed.

The inspection determined one non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations and it was documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on measurement, the facility did not meet the required depth of resilient surfacing on the playground.
Evidence:
1. The inspector measured mulch on the playground around the slide and other equipment and it measured 3-5 inches. 2. The director agreed that the mulch was low.
Plan of Correction: The director is having the whole playground area redone; the contract has been signed.
