Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today with the director, who was present with 5 additional staff and 36 children whose ages ranged from 5 to 10 years. The inspection took place from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
The children were observed finishing snack ( cheese, oranges and water), washing their hands, quiet time to include homework, reading ,drawing and table top activities.
Five staff files and seven children's files were reviewed as well as medications for 4 children. Three allergy care plans were reviewed as well. The area of non compliance is outlined on the violation notice.

Based on a review of injury/accident reports and interview, it was determined that the injury/accident form does not contain a place for staff to document ways to prevent reoccurrence of the documented injury.
