Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted with the director. Today was a teacher workday and there were two additional sister programs on site for a total of 41 children and 8 staff. The inspection took place from 12 noon to 1 pm. The ages of the children present ranged from 5 to 10 years. The children were eating lunch and then transitioned to outside time during the inspection Four staff and six children's files were reviewed as well as medications for six children and two allergy care plans. The area of non compliance is outlined on the violation notice.

Based on a review of recordkeeping and interview, it was determined that one child had a diagnosed food allergy however that allergy was not listed on the current written list.
Evidence:
Child A has a diagnosed food allergy to shellfish, however this allergy was not listed on the current written allergy list.
Plan of Correction: We will add the allergy to our allergy list.
