Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 7:15am-8:20am. There were 19 children directly supervised by 5 staff. The physical plant, programming, menus, 5 staff records, 3 children?s records, 5 medications, emergency drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed playing group games in the cafeteria and gym. Positive interactions between children and staff were observed during this inspection. There was an adequate supply of age appropriate materials for the children. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Based on observation and review of the attendance record, the center did not maintain a written record of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs.

Evidence: A total of three children were present at approximately 7:28am and two children were signed in on the attendance record. Staff #1 stated that Child #3 arrived at approximately 7:10am and then updated the attendance record at approximately 7:28am.
