Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated and completed on 9/16/2024. The on-site inspection began at 7:40am and ended at 8:35am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 18 children present and 3 staff. The inspector reviewed six children?s records and three staff records on 9/16/2024. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-40-M
The center shall maintain, in a way that is accessible to all staff who work with children, a current written list of all children's allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions documented in the allergy plan.

Evidence: (REPEAT VIOLATION) Child #1 had one allergy and several sensitivities documented on their allergy plan that were not listed on the written list of all children?s allergies/sensitivities/dietary restrictions.
Plan of Correction: Allergy list was corrected with the correct sensitivities for the child.
Standard 8VAC20-780-80-A
The center is required to maintain a written record of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs.

Evidence: There were 18 children present but only 16 children were signed in on the electronic attendance.
Plan of Correction: Spoke with staff about updating the daily attendance as it occurs.
