Inspector Notes
A monitoring inspection was conducted on April 27, 2022. There were 50 children present, with 14 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. The closest in the hallway, which contained hazardous materials-cleaning materials, was not locked making there cleaning materials accessible to children.
The diapering surface was not being cleaned with soap and at least room temperature water and sanitized after each use.
Evidence
Staff was observed disposing of a soiled diaper in a leakproof storage system. Staff used their hand to remove the lid to dispose of the diaper.
Staff was observed spraying the diapering surface with a solution of bleach and water after a diaper change. The procedure to following is to spray or dip with a solution of soap and water to clean the surface, pat it dry, spray or dip with a solution of bleach and water and allow to air dry.
We will retrain all staff to ensure they are all following the correct procedure to clean and sanitize the diapering surface.

The current written record of children's serious and minor injuries does not include the name of the parent who was notified of the occurrence.

One bottle located in the refrigerator in the infant room, was not labeled with child's full name and current date.
