Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was conducted today between 8:00am and 9:30am. There were 29 children present, with 8 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. The children were observed arriving, playing with table toys, and getting ready for breakfast. A total of 3 child records and 3 staff records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on observation disposable diapers were not disposed in a storage system that was either foot-pedal or used in such a way that neither the staff member's hand nor the soiled diaper touches an exterior surface of the storage system during disposal.
Evidence
The trash can located in bathroom B had soiled disposable diapers in it and could be opened without using your hand or the diaper touching the top of the trash can.
Plan of Correction: The trash can top just broke. A new trash can replaced the broken one in bathroom B during the inspection.
