Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated on 07/17/2024 and completed on 07/17/2024, as a part of this licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 12:11pm and ended at 2:06pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 47 children present and 13 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 5 staff records on-site on 07/17/2024. This inspection included document review and a tour of the facility,

Standard 8VAC20-780-270-A
REPEAT VIOLATION

Based on observation, areas of the center were not maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition.

Evidence:
1. Three out of the four bicycle handles on the Merry-Go-Cycle playground equipment had exposed rust.
2. Climbing equipment on the playground had two areas with exposed rust.
3. A low shelf located in the older infant classroom, accessible to the children, had chipped paint.
Plan of Correction: We will fix these areas.

REPEAT VIOLATION
Based on observation, hazardous substances were not kept in a locked place that prevents access by children.

Evidence:
1. Radiance Grease Cleaning Power and Tandil Laundry Detergent was stored in an unlocked cabinet in the infant room. The substances were labeled "keep out of reach of children."
2. Bleach water bottle was stored in an unlocked box in the infant room.
Plan of Correction: We will keep them locked at all times and administration will supervise and provide additional training.
