During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. If there were any serious injuries or fatalities related to a violation, the details will be included in the description of the violation.

Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated on 3/20/2025 and completed on 3/20/2025, as a part of the licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 9:20am and ended at 11:2am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 78 children present and 20 staff. The inspector reviewed five children?s records and six staff records on-site.
This inspection included document review and a tour of the facility.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-270-A
REPEAT VIOLATION:
The center shall ensure that areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, are maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition.

The bookshelf located in the Pre-K room had chipped wood along the bottom shelf, accessible to children.
Plan of Correction: Will get it fixed.
Standard 8VAC20-780-280-G
If hazardous substances are not kept in original containers, the substitute containers shall clearly indicate their contents.

A bottle containing a solution for floor cleaner was stored in a bottle labeled "glass cleaner."
Plan of Correction: Will make sure to clearly indicate their contents of the cleaning solutions.

When food is brought from home the food container must be clearly dated.

Child#1 had three bottles of milk bottles that were not labeled "Breast Milk."
Plan of Correction: Labeled the bottles breast milk and will retrain the staff.
Standard 8VAC20-780-570-E
Prepared infant formula shall be refrigerated, dated and labeled with the child's name.

Child #2's had two bottles of infant formula that were not labeled with the child's name.
Plan of Correction: Labeled the bottles with the child's name. Will re-train staff.
