Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 07/11/2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:35 a.m. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of one child record was reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-800-320-G
Based on review of documentation and interview, the provider failed to ensure that wood burning fireplaces and associated chimneys are inspected annually.
Evidence:
1. Documentation showed that the date of the last inspection of the fireplace was 03/01/2022
2. The provider confirmed that a fireplace inspection had not been conducted since 03/01/2022.
Plan of Correction: I am working on an appointment for the inspector to come out. I will send the report when it is completed.
