The program is required to obtain a written care plan for each child with a diagnosed food allergy, to include instructions from a physician regarding the food to which the child is allergic and the steps to be taken in the vent of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction.

The record for Child A contained documentation that the child has a diagnosed allergy to nuts but did not contain a written care plan from a physician that included instructions from a physician regarding the steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction.
Plan of Correction: The Director had the parent resend the allergy care plan form the same afternoon.
