The children were observed playing with puzzles, free toy play and eating snack. Infants were observed doing floor (tummy) time, being diapered, bottle feeding and eating snack. The provider and assistants were observed supervising, assisting the children, diapering, providing snack and redirecting as needed.
The site was clean, organized and contained a varied supply of developmentally appropriate materials. The entire physical space of the family day home was observed. Medication, emergency supplies, evacuation drills, attendance records, and required posted documents were reviewed. A sample of 2 children's files and 2 staff files were reviewed.
