Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, and a virtual tour of the program.

A monitoring inspection was initiated and concluded on 10/18/2021. The provider was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 7 children present (21points), ranging in ages from 5months to 4years, with the provider and one assistant caregiver supervising. The Inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 2 children's records and 3 caregiver/adult household member records were reviewed.

The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.

Violations

1
Standard 22VAC40-111-180-A
Based on a review of health records, it was determined that the provider did not obtain for each caregiver and adult household member a current Report of Tuberculosis Screening form, in accordance with the requirements in 22 VAC 40-111-170, every two years from the date of the first screening.
Evidence:
At the start of this inspection the provider was not home. The children were in care with the assistant caregiver and one adult household member who acts as an assistant caregiver when needed. The TB screening for this adult household member expired on 8/19/2020.
Plan of Correction: I made her an appointment for a repeat TB screening on Nov. 8.
