Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 10/26/2022. There were 23 children, ages 5 months -4 years, and 8 staff members present during the inspection. The inspector observed the following: arrival, snack, free choice activities, and outside time. A total of 5 children?s and 6 staff records, were reviewed. The inspector arrived at 9 AM and departed at 10:45 AM

Standard 8VAC20-770-60-C-2
Based on review of four staff records, board officers and agents the center failed to obtain the finding from a search
of the central registry within 30 days of hire.

Evidence:
1. Staff # 2 had a hire date of 5/17/2022. A return search of the central registry was not in the record. Staff # 7 did not provide documentation when requested.
Plan of Correction: The administration will ensure that all CPS checks will be completed within the 30 days of hire.
Standard 8VAC20-780-500-A
Based on observation of the infant room, the center failed to ensure that all hands were washed with soap and water or with a wipe.

Evidence:
1.Child # 1 was feed a bottle and the infant's hands were not washed after eating.
Plan of Correction: The staff will make sure that all hands are washed before and after eating.
