Inspector Notes

An announced initial inspection was conducted 12/5/2022 at 10:45am. There were 7 (1yr to 3yrs)
with a total of 19 points directly supervised by 2 staff. The physical plant, 2 staff records, 2 children?s records, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, listening to stories, and preparing for lunch. Diapering and hand-washing procedures were also observed. There was a sufficient supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. There was an adequate number of staff with current certification in MAT, CPR and First Aid, as well as DHO training. Staff-to-child ratios were in compliance. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in this report. Based on observation, the provider did not ensure that the diapering surface was nonabsorbent.
Evidence: observed that the provider had a cloth diaper changing cover and a thin quilt on the diaper changing table, creating an absorbent surface.
