Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was initiated on March 21, 2024 from 8:33 am until 10:08 am and concluded on March 27, 2024 .There were 16 children present with 4 staff supervising. The inspector completed observations of the children working on the letter C activity in the classroom, participating in interactive music activities with staff, in assigned crib, completing tummy time, completing bathroom breaks, and participating in circle time. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 6 child records and 4 staff records were reviewed.

Based on review of records and interview, the center did not ensure to obtain a central registry finding within 30 days of employment or volunteer service.

Evidence: In Staff#3's record (date of hire), there was no documentation of a central registry finding found. Interview with staff confirmed the documentation of a central registry finding for staff was not available for review during the inspection.

Based on observation and photograph, the center did not ensure all hazardous substances are kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.

Evidence: In the Busy Bee's classroom, there was a wet jet floor mop observed with the cleaning solution attached with the labels "keep out of reach of children" and "caution" accessible to the children in care.
