A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was completed on 04/18/2023. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

Based on a review of records and interview, the licensee did not ensure that each staff annually completes the department's health and safety update course.
Evidence:
Five staff records were reviewed.
The record for staff #4 contained the most recently completed annual update to the department's health and safety update course was completed which was dated 11/17/2020.
The program director confirmed that she was unable to demonstrate that a more recent update to the training had been completed.

Plan of Correction: The program director will inquire of staff #4 as to whether a more recent update to the training has been completed and obtain a copy for the staff record. Or, if the health and safety update training has not been completed for the current year, staff #4 will be asked to complete it and furnish a copy of the certificate within 2 weeks.
