Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was initiated on 02/08/2022 and concluded on 02/16/2022. The director was contacted via email to provide required documentation. A site inspection was conducted on 2/16/2022. There 36 children present, with 6 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 3 child records and 3 staff records were reviewed. Medication administration was reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and a violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

based upon observation, the facility has not ensured that potentially hazardous substances are kept in locked places using safe locking methods that prevent access by children.
Evidence:
There was a pump container of antibacterial hand soap labeled "warning" and "keep our of reach of children" on the sink in the children's bathroom.
Plan of Correction: The facility responded with the following:
The antibacterial hand soap was immediately removed from the sink and locked in the cabinet, leaving only the hand soap without warnings out for children's use. When antibacterial hand soap is used, the use will be directly supervised by staff and locked back into the cabinet.
