Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on 04/01/2025, as a part of the licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 11:45 AM and ended at 2:10 PM. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 25 children present and 5 staff. The inspector reviewed 6 children?s records and 4 staff records on-site.
This inspection included:

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-560-G
When food is brought from home it shall be labeled with the date.
Children's lunches brought from home were not dated with the current date.
Plan of Correction: The facility responded with the following:
Staff will be reminded to check the lunches brought from home and ensure that they are dated.
Standard 8VAC20-780-560-J
Tables shall be sanitized before and after each use for feeding.
Staff were not going to sanitize the tables after the first group of children ate lunch/before the tables were to be used for the second group of children until being reminded by the inspector.

All staff will be reminded that the lunch tables must be sanitized between each grouping of children eating lunch.
