Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on Friday, October 27, 2023, from 9:00am until 11:10am. There were 29 children present, ranging in ages from 4 months to 5 years, with 5 staff supervising. The inspector observed the children eating breakfast, participating in circle time, handwashing, and playing in centers. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 child records and 5 staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on record review, the Virginia Department of Education-sponsored orientation course was not completed within 90 calendar days of employment for new staff.
