Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted with the provider on November 30, 2023, beginning at 10:40 pm and ending at 11:35 pm. There were 10 children, ages 7 months, 18 months, 23 months, 23 months, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3, and 4 years old, were in the care of two caregivers for a total of 22 points. Playing with age appropriate toys and working on art activity. Four children?s records were reviewed and in compliance. The provider, two assistant, and three household members' records were reviewed and in compliance. The first aid kit, flashlight, and battery-operated radio were observed and in compliance. There were no medications on site to be reviewed. The menu, daily attendance, and emergency drill log were reviewed. The most recent evacuation drill was documented as 5/9/2023. The most recent shelter-in-place drill was documented as 10/6/2023.

Based on a review of documentation, the provider failed to conduct practice emergency evacuation procedures monthly. Evidence: The most recent emergency evacuation drill was documented as 5/9/2023. There were no monthly evacuation drill documented for June, July, August, September, and October 2023.
Plan of Correction: The provider will conducted and record monthly practice emergency evacuation drills moving forward.
