Inspector Notes

A monitoring inspection was completed from 9:15 a.m. until 11:30 a. There were 23 children present, ranging in ages from infant to five years old with 7 staff supervising. The director and the child care director were also present. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of five child records and five staff records were reviewed. Children were observed playing inside and outside, transitioning from inside to the playground, during rest time, washing hands, and eating lunch.
The inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation, the center failed to keep hazardous substances locked.
Evidence:
1. In the toddler bathroom, there was Comet, Ajax, Windex and bleach
spray unlocked under the diapering table.
Plan of Correction: Corrected during the inspection. The director has reminded staff to lock all hazardous substances.
