A subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was conducted in conjunction with the licensing inspection. Subsidy standards that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this SHSI. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

The vendor shall maintain a written hard copy record of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs.

Attendance for children 1-3 did not have attendance documented as it occurred.
Plan of Correction: I will record each child's arrival and departure at the time it occurs and will ensure daily attendance is kept in hard copy for all children.

Caregivers who work directly with children shall complete the department's health and safety update course annually.
The record for Caregiver #1 did not contain documentation of the health and safety update course.
Plan of Correction: I will complete the required health and safety update course and will keep documentation on file for all caregivers moving forward.
