Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program.

A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was initiated on 01/07/22 and concluded on 02/07/22. There were 101 children present with 20 staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-790-600-D-1
Based on the review of staff records, the facility failed to ensure that all staff hold CPR certification within 90 days of employment.
Evidence:
1. Staff #1-5 do not hold CPR certification and have been employed for more than 90 days.
Plan of Correction: The program director reported that there had been two classes scheduled in December 2021, which were canceled due to Covid-19. A class has been scheduled for February 27, 2022.
