Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on 10/5/2023 from 11:00 am-12:18 pm. There were 11 children supervised by 3 direct caregivers. The home, 3 staff records, 5 children?s records, 2 household member?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed engaging freely. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Thank you for your cooperation during this inspection. Based on observation and interview, areas and furnishings of the family day home, inside and outside, were not maintained in a clean, safe, and operable condition.

Evidence: The end of a white PVC pipe used to redirect water beneath the deck steps is cracked in several spots.
Plan of Correction: Called a handy man who will put new pipe.

Based on observation, small electrical appliances were not unplugged when not being used.

Evidence:
1. The toaster oven and toaster in the kitchen was observed plugged in.
2. The toaster oven and toaster was not being used.
Plan of Correction: I will keep unplugged them

Based on observation and interview, menus were not dated.

Evidence: The menus posted on the home bulletin board were not dated.
