Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from approximately 12:30pm-1:30pm. There was 1 child in the direct care and supervision of 1 caregiver. A sample of 1 child's record, and 1 caregiver's record was reviewed. The child was observed napping and lying down. Zero new caregivers have been hired since the last inspection. Based on observation, a child older than 12 months and developmentally ready slept in a crib and not on a cot, rest mat or bed.

Evidence:
Child A, 2 years old, was sleeping during the inspection.
Plan of Correction: Child was removed from the crib during the inspection.

Based on observation, a cot being used for sleeping children did not have a top cover.

Evidence:
Child A sleeping in a crib then on a cot did not have a top cover.

Based on record review, a child's record was missing required information.

Evidence:
The record of Child A was missing the insurance policy number and the phone numbers of 2 emergency contacts.

Based on observation, a working portable battery-operated weather band radio, and extra batteries were not kept in a designated area and be available to caregivers at all times.

The radio on site was not operable with batteries.
