Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today. There were 9 children present (23 points) with 2 caregivers.
3 child and 3 caregiver records were reviewed, See Violation Notice for non-compliance cited.

The fridge/freezer temperatures, first aid kit, emergency supplies, emergency evacuation drills, first aid/CPR certifications, chimney inspection, Crib spacing and bathroom supplies were all in compliance.
Children were observed playing with a variety of toys, playing outside, eating lunch.

Repeat Violation
Based on a review of records, one caregiver record did not contain documentation of an acceptable reference.
Evidence:
Caregiver A's record contained a reference provided by a relative. References may not be provided by anyone related by blood or marriage.
Plan of Correction: Care giver was notified and is in the process on
completing the necessary form.
Standard 8VAC20-800-900-B
Based on observation, children were allowed to eat or drink while walking around.
Evidence:
At LI arrival (10:20 AM) a child was observed waking around while drinking from a bottle.
Plan of Correction: This has been discussed with all Caregivers and will not happen again.
