Inspector Notes

A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was conducted on 12/29/2023. There were 18 children present with 4 staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based upon review of records and staff interview, the facility has not ensured that staff obtain certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) within 90 days of employ.
Evidence:
1. The record provided for staff 3, employed on 7/25/23, did not include documentation that CPR certification has been obtained.
2. The record provided for staff 4, employed on 7/27/22, did not include documentation that CPR certification has been obtained.
3. Staff 1 verified that neither staff 3 or staff 4 have CPR certification.
Plan of Correction: The facility responded with the following:
First aid and CPR certification training is being scheduled in January and staff 3 and staff 4 will attend.
